Lev väl!

Yay, Global knives! Those are the kinds that we have. Very nice. Very sharp. Not as marvy as ceramic knives maybe, but still pretty nice.
So, Gus. Is he the kid that is frequently with you? He's related to you, yes (?) but I don't remember how. I taunted him a little too harshly once, I think, and I was sorry, but I really didn't mean to be mean, I promise!
I just love those knifes, and I want steel knifes, feels more right :)
Gus is my son, lives with me every other week. This week he's with his mother. I think he can stand the taunting, it wasn't that bad.
Ahhh, you see! Something I didn't know about you!
You'll have to tell me that story one day (only if you want to, of course).
We go a little crazy for the Global knives. We bought one for both Lennart's mother and my Grandma. They're eternally happy. They both had sad, old knives that can barely cut a slice of cheese, and they were amazed that knives can actually be sharp enough to SLICE a tomato (and not just squish it)! :) We had a ceramic sharpener first, but donated it to Lennart's mother and bought a diamond one. What a difference!
I wonder how often one actually needs to put a new edge on one, though, and where one would go to do that. Hmm...
Okay, think of potential ingredients for quesadillas. Got to have a sharp but melty cheese, and then one other item. Not usually more than that, or they get overpowered. Ponder that and we can discuss further as the time for bathroom parties approaches. :)
I'll tell you sometime or other.
Yep, they really are amazing those knifes. Next thing to buy will be a new knife sharpener.
I ll do some thinking on the ingredients. Don't want to to far of. We might try with goat cheese, and/or sundried tomatoes, or Dijon Mustard Porvencal and Cheddar cheese. Might work with Tapernad and a strong cheese. But it's a bit far from the Tex Mex thingie :)
